About Us

Lucy Butler is co-founder of Where on Earth Travel. She has traveled to 29 foreign countries and 42 states.

Lucy grew up in the Peace Corps in Southeast Asia and hasn't stopped traveling since. She has taken a bus over the Khyber Pass into Afghanistan, watched giant turtles lay their eggs at midnight in Malaysia, milked cows on a kibbutz in Israel and sipped Pimms at Wimbledon. Her desire is to have her clients feel like they have a local best friend in every destination -- to really know the area from an "insiders" point of view.

A graduate of Stanford University in English Literature, her passion for research and curiosity for other cultures are the hallmarks of Where on Earth. She has spent the last fourteen years organizing and planning dream journeys for her clients. Most recently she has visited Paris, London, Madrid, Barcelona, Sitges, Bellagio and Lake Como. Other memorable trips have included Bali, Java and Morocco. Next adventure destination for Lucy- Salmon fishing and fly trekking in Alaska!

Lucy is a certified destination specialist for both Spain and Italy and speaks French and is learning Spanish and Italian. In addition she has traveled extensively in Mexico and has spent a month in Costa Rica and also New Zealand.
